DCF Kansas City Region Medicaid 101 Seminar

A short message from DCF regarding their upcoming Medicaid 101 Seminar:

Hello To All!

We have finalized our next Kansas City Region DCF Medicaid 101 Seminar for July 22, 2014 from 9-12 pm at Lakeview Village!  We have arranged for presenters from KDHE, SSA, Medicare(SHICK), PMDT, and VA.  As you know when working with your patients, DCF may require them to engage with one or more of these agencies.  For example if the patient is a Veteran or spouse of a Veteran, we require proof of application for VA benefits, or perhaps a case folks need to apply for SSD and SI where DCF is requiring proof of application, presumptive medical disability determination(PMDT) may be utilized in that process as well.  Medicare(SHICK) will be quite informative as so many of our Seniors with limited resources have questions regarding Medicare and health insurance.  Russell Nittler with KDHE will provide a landscape for this discussion and will serve a policy/process resource for this time together.

We would like to thank the Administration and staff at Lakeview Village for opening their facility to us once again.  Their hospitality is very appreciated!  Please RSVP to Lesa Campbell as soon as you can so that we can provide Lakeview Village with an accurate anticipated number of attendees.  Please feel free to reach out to Lesa or myself with any questions or additional needs.
